April 29, 2009 marked the first tour of investment properties of the Kansas City Equity Fund.  Nineteen guests boarded the coach after lunch and a preliminary presentation at The PrivateBank.  Guests included representatives from Brotherhood Bank, Capitol Federal, the Federal Reserve Bank, Great Southern Bank, M&I Bank, Metcalf Bank, The PrivateBank, UMB Bank and partners from Jamison Housing and Westside Apartments.  The first stop on the tour was The Villas at Ridge Pointe.  The Investment Committee has approved investment in the second phase of this property for independent seniors in Kansas City, Kansas and construction will begin the end of September. The tour of the three properties in our portfolio included a walk-through of a townhouse unit at Jamison Housing on the Boulevard.  Despite the stormy weather, it was a successful event and sure to be repeated as our portfolio expands.  Thanks to all who made the time in their busy schedules to see our accomplishments and plans for our 2009 Fund!
